Cheers Lex,

Ian, thanks for posting it, plenty more of that to come.

Yes that is the park at Long Reef, its my local flying spot its really small lots of people around, you want to have your game face on.

If you like that vid, you may like this one also, different day, using Mantas & Blades.

Unfortunately never a video camera around enough of the time, I have had some epic boosting sessions which if were on film would have rocked :)

You gain more height going in reverse as your rear wheels add double the traction before the boost hence you can hold down more power. The rotations themselves happen without any real imput. In fact you dont have a choice in the rotation, a harder aerial would be trying to do a reverse straight jump.

Its an epic feeling, with no room for error, I come from a kite surfing/windsurfing background there is no trial and error on land, no suspension and no water to land on your head, you have to get it right each and every time.

I am going to start replacing the Mantas with Flysurfer Speed II's the Flysurfers are the next level, last weekend at Lake George I was able to pull some technical moves on the Flysurfer I usually opt out of on the Manta, the difference being the Flysurfer points so much higher into the wind allowing for rotations under the kite much easier.

And the float....... nothing comes close

It may have gusted to 13 or 14 at times.... but the lulls were 8 or 9 knots. Speed is the key in winds that low. Without building some apparent wind there is no way you'd even get off the ground.

Track is by Bad Religion.

Here is another one from yesterday up at Stockton Beach. Nasty gusty conditions needed 8 meter one minute 10 meter the next.

A few good spankings in the outtake session at the end you may enjoy.

Cheers
