Heading up for a wedding.
Take the kite?
I reckon you would have to be lucky but hey you would be spewing if it was on and you didn't have your gear. If I was driving up I'd take my gear and have a couple of stops along the way (more than likely miss the wedding) 
but I'll asume you are flying in which case my guess is don't bother.
If the wind does get up it will be at the same time as the wedding.
So yes take your kite. (espesically if it's your wedding)
