Go somewhere better. 1st CP will suck in SW..

Try Yarra Bay at the sailing club.. It's a fun little spot for SW

I should be able to get someone to launch and land at Yarra Bay?

I will be going to Yarra bay tomorrow, pm me if you want to discuss a time. If you do go there I suggest that you park closer to cemetery, can be big wind shadows next to the sailing club.

I wouldn't kite in the bay tomorrow if I were you. I went out today (on a boat), the water was poo brown with floating debris everywhere, even 2km out to sea!

Especially after this arvo's storms, the pollution levels would be toxic.

The launch at Yarra can be dodgy and it can be quite gusty there. Anyone who is less than advanced should try to go elsewhere if possible especially if self launching. When the swell is smaller Wanda is a good option in a SW. Lots more launching and landing room and always other kiters around. If the swell is decent though it can be a handful.

Wanda is going to big today. I had a look at Botany still very brown and smells bad. How many days does it take to clear usually?

Tomorrow might look like a nice day but I have doubts about the water quality.

Normally 3 - 4 days but Ive never seen it lookin so filthy as now. I reckon at least a week after the last heavy downpour.

It has improved over last week, but still not what you would call clean this morning. Another couple of days should see it safe to go back in.

Don't think I've seen the Bay this foul for many years.

Re wind shadow, do you mean because of the Port Botany seawall ?

What about the beach next to Yarra; Frenchman's bay, is it kitesurfable despite a few boats on moorings (wind is clear of the seawall in SW/Westerlies).

Damn wanted to get out on Botany Tomorrow. Pollution website gives it a yellow flag.

Will it still be too dirty On Tuesday?
