So I have booked my Christmas Break to Kite in and around Hearvy Bay and was hoping to get out to Doubile Island point for a kite session or two, but dont think my little Subaru Impreza will like the sand.
So other options around Hervey Bay?
Or anyone planing a kite over the Christmas break to double island point??? I dont take up much room. Honest :)
Hey mate not much wind up in H'bay lately hope you've packed a 12![]()
But yeah there's a few little secret spots about that will get you away from the local bloody cabrinhas (ha ha sorry guys) which all seem to get together and crowd the sweet flat water spot down at urangan. I'll not tell you the spots but if you look on google earth you're sure to see a few spots in the sourounding bays that are great in a N/NE wind.
As for DI well thats a whole nother kettle of fish, VERY worth while.![]()
Ive heard about urangan and the c'brina's in the trees stories - ill stand out like a sore thumb with my F-one's.
Still looking for hat elusive ride out to DI point!!! ![]()
If it's windy on the 3rd of Jan (which is when i get back) i'm more than happy to loan you a seat in my 4wd on a trip to DI point. I just went there last weekend (not to kite, it wasnt windy) and it looked freaking awesome.
Hey guys PM me when you do. I'm in Burleigh and have 4wd with attached trailer :)
want to go and check out DI.
Cherrs,
V
hey ash, saw an subaru outback at DI last time I was there, so as long as yours is a manual and you hit it at low tide you should/might be ok. IMO I would have Elliott Heads over DI but they are both sick spots on their day.
Goodwinds![]()
