Hi punters,
With all this speak of world records (bass strait, sailing speed record, retard watson-hername, etc) I was just wondering if there is a world record for body dragging?
Would anyone like to join me for an unassisted bodydrag from Brisbane to Sydney?
We could raise money for rehabilitating birds injured by trawlers by demonstrating what it's like to get trawled for hundreds of kilometres while still alive?
p.s. has anyone ever gone all out chasing after their board for a ridiculous distance? e.g. the whole way across jervis bay, etc?
p.s. no disrespect to the bass guys and the speed sailors, they are 100% awesome. I probably shouldn't have used them in the same sentence as little miss hopeless sailor.
Maybe not a world record, but certainly should go down in the top contenders somewhere. A
Aya did this one when the wind went from 15 knots NW to 40 knots S in about 2 min and lost her board and had to body drag across the Bay to Brighton.
If you search the forums there's the whole story somewhere.
The KP Demo days (Sat-Sun 31 Oct-1st Nov) this weekend should be at Dolls. There will be rescue boats on hand so I'm pretty sure no one will break Aya's record although there will free sausage sandwiches for anyone who tries, courtesy of NSWKBA.![]()
