Depends on which 130 board you're looking at , if it's fairly flat rocker with width carried through to the tail like the Xenon Laluz 132 it will cover a wide range of conditions. I use this at 85kgs. Throw in a narrower board with more rocker then it becomes a heavy wind board meaning you'll need 2 boards
Either way I think a 130 would be a bit small for your weight, if you're learning consider a fairly flat 136 and an extra kite to widen the range.

I'm 75-80kg and for the first few years rode 130-132 boards, I'm now on a larger boards, 134 NHP, 135 laluz (wider tips) and wonder why i ever rode such a small board. For me there are no negatives to riding the larger boards, just positives.

Hey mate, as a newbie myself I understand the question you are wanting to ask, but what you have to understand is that there are numerous variables that will effect the suitability of the board to you. As kiter77 highlighted, it depends on the rocker of the board, the width of the board the style, the size and type of kite you combine it with etc. Unfortunately there are some people that don't understand there are always going to be newbies that don't understand this so don't take any of the smart arse answers to heart.
I would suggest you go and talk to your local kite shop, they would be best suited to answers questions like that as they will ask you questions about your riding style, the kite you use, your experience etc.
As a comparison I'm 82kg and I own a 138x43 crazyfly allround board. It has a smallish rocker, is really stiff and suits a wide range of skill and style combined with my 12m kite. I could have gone a little larger to make learning a little easier but it was a decision I made after talking to the guys at my local shop to ensure the board lasted me longer. Yet during my lessons I have used up to 155x47 board, massive compared to mine but pretty much ensured that I could stand up as soon as possible.

I'm with skinner. Reckon the flex properties across a 134 and 135 are much better. Keep your 128 for really high wind days!!
Dont worry about the smart ass answers mate. Every second person on here is like it, just listen to the middle aged blokes with a couple of thousand forum posts. Clearly they are the most skilled kiters

I'm 85kg and only ride a 128 NHP. This board works for me in all conditions and will get me going in 15knots with my 9m Edge.
I started with a board that was too big, and found that I couldn't handle the power of the kite... I would just get airborne or faster if I tried to edge hard. Then I got one that is about 130 and was going upwind in no time. The larger board became my light wind cruiser.

Welcome to Seabreeze. By 50 posts you will stop responding to smart arse answers, like walking with your board in hand over a rocky beach before you get to the wet kiting part of the day. dont focus on the rocky sand. think about the kiting after it. By 100 you will start to stop caring... sometimes some flames will still manage to prick your nerves a bit. By 200 your filter will begin to develop and you will automatically begin screening out around 30% of posts. By 300 (!) , if your skin has been thick enough and you are still a forum user, you will be going through the second stage of realisation - that actually 80% (!!!) of posts are chaff in the wind. slightly disappointing again, but a relief to understand for many discussion directions.
Dont get upset. Dont backfire. Dont even blink. Just use the forum how you want to and treat it like the road to work... yes there are lots of idiots on your road, but you only need to use it to get where you are going, and they only affect your drive and day if you get red in the face and stroppy. if you sit back and take a more passive amused view, then the fuming fat chap shaking his fist and tooting his horn is actually, in a bizzare way... quite hilarious!! just do not, under any circumstances, get out of your car and attempt to correct his attitude!!
