Does full carbon define a good board?

How do you have a full carbon board with a Wood core?

The website claims 3 years breakage garanteed. I like those odds.

They look fairly lame and no Australian distributor would make it hard to claim if you had a problem.

Stick to a good quality board that is suported and backed localy, Slingshot, Nobile, Fone, Best, Cardboards, Airush, Liquidforce etc.

Just followed your link.

No OZ distributor on there list which probaly means some one is bringing them in from someone other than the manufacturer. This can prove to be cheaper but not necaserily better for the australian kiteboarding industry.

If there is a OZ distributor who is it? and which stores have there gear, i have had a look around the majour online distributors and stores and no one i have looked at seems to have them. i did find one guy selling them but for waranty there was a useless link.

So whats the point of getting one if it has no local suport?

Ok Firstly, it says ultra light full carbon and wood core construction. The Naish Thorn FC, North Select and the Crazy Fly boards are also of a full carbon with wood core construction. The only 100% carbon board available on the market that I know of is the Carved Custom Tantrum.

Secondly, it doesn’t say 3 year breakage guaranteed, it says 3 year breakage GUARANTEE. That means a 3 year warranty against breakage.

As you know there are some very good kite and snow boards being made in Poland, e.g. Nobile. Xenon boards are also made in Poland. Good style, good quality and they have received a lot of very positive feedback in Europe.

The boards are fairly new and they will be available to the Australian market very soon for you Waxman, and anybody else interested, to demo. Till then buddy, hang loose.

Take a closer look at such great boards as Spleene, Flyradicals or Carve but if you cant afford extra $ 50 or $ioo to ride top board for the next couple of years by all means consider "cheap" quality boards from Slingshot, Nobile, Best, Cardboards,Underground etc.You do get local support you might need it, but you save $ 50 or so for the start.

for a good board you will always pay your price.
have alook at all the retail prices for boards and you will not find a big difference in the pricing.

The Xenon boards will be priced similiar to Slingshot, Best, Cardboards,Underground etc

Have a look at the Nobile 50/50 , nobile have introduced corrugations like a sheet of colour bond steel roofing. The board has greater stability in rough conditions, less spray when moving , great pop, and softer landing with great manoeuvreability. Nobile has gotten the kite board champ Mike blomvall to work on and to modify the nobile NHP 3D and after 18 months this is what he's come up with the 50/50.

i went to kite stock in Dongara and met Mike there and was so impressed with the board that I bought one from Bastien mob: 0450 454 890

Talk to Bastien ( australian distributor ) he'll give you a good deal ph is

Actually about the same density in a weave as glass, strength is not carbons best quality (tends to be a little fragile - nasty crack propagation), it is however very stiff - about six times stiffer than glass.

In my experience there are very few, if any - long lasting, smooth riding carbon over wood kiteboards on the market.

Pimp your stuff here.......

Then lets have an arguement, sorry discussion. Go and demo the boards off the guys who you kitesurf with.

"by all means consider "cheap" quality boards from Slingshot, Nobile, Best, Cardboards,Underground etc."..........Is $1129 cheap for a board (Nobile)????(BTW, nobile boards come with a 3 year warranty), slingshot, Best, Cardboards and underground all provide excellent warranty services.... Under no circumstances delaminate a North Board, it's all your fault.....

i agree DK it is not all about the materials you use to make a good board but how you combine them and there are a lot of excellent boards out there made of different components, wood, glass and carbon.

When are you getting stock of these boards in?

If you plan on selling them for any more than a cardboards board then you will be riping people off. I know of someone allready buying these boards from overseas and passing them on for a lot cheaper. Hope you dont get stuck with to many.

How will your 3 year breakage guarantee work, there website doesnt seem to helpful with claming, i think it will be a lot harder if you arent buying them of a local distributor. If you do get one how long is it going to take. Im sure nobile would have a new board shiped to you by the end of the week. I have allso seen SS replace boards not quite as quickly but it did happen in a reasonable amount of time.

Stumac don't listen to all the pimping of brands. Toddws has the right idea, just try different boards and you will feel which one is right for you. It might even be the switch your riding now. You don't necessarily grow out of a board like the switch unless its too big or like me it becomes too small for your expanding frame. Also test the boards in similar conditions to what you will be riding in

you are a lot of talk mate!

who has got Xenon boards? you dont know anybody in oz because there is nobody, give us evidence if i am wrong.

What has nobile and slingshot got to do with anything?
Everything you say is pure speculation.

You will be able to demo the boards at your local shop soon so just relax Waxman and dont get your knickers in a knot.

For you info there will be a new xenon website up soon..

peace*
