I always seem to get a blurry right eye after kiting, it clears itself up, have a Pterygium in that eye, had it for years and never given me trouble.

Will probably get it checked out just wondering if anyone else gets this? Been meaning to get some dark safety glasses but keep forgetting.

Always the same eye, of note im left handed and master eye is left eye, dont wear glasses but getting close to for reading. Interesting dont seem to get it surfing??

Any armchair docs do your best for a Friday night. Cheers.

I think when it’s more choppy the sun can reflect from the water much more

One time i had a blury right eye, then i kicked my little toe on my right foot. I wonder if this is somehow linked.

There's a domestic violence helpline, I'd say your spending too much time kiting, repetitive blows to the eye or head can cause memory loss ( hence the forgetting sunnies)or should it be

Having the pterygium operation is pretty terrible and I wont go for a kite without my sunnies nowadays I recommend you invest in a set.

sunburnt eye my man.

Simplest solution is to try avoid focusing on the suns reflection on the water... or avoid kiting at dusk...

Keep it lubricated... a few eye drops every couple of hours will reduce the pain...

Had my pterygiums remove 20 years back. Much better now. Also, had a friend die from melanoma. The primary cancer was in his eye. Look after your eyes on the water. Avoid sunburn to your eyes.

I experienced the same when kiting. Turned out to be a cataract.
