I got return flights to hawaii last year for$750.
Fly from oahu to another Island (We did kauai) for $70 return.
Lots of different camping spots on any island, for $12 bucks a night.
Hire a car, we got one from a place called Island cars- $150 for 5 days. Peice of ****, but less likely to get broken into.
Anyways, add food on top of that, and you can easy get away with less than $1500 if you're willing to wait for flight specials and fly with Jetstar!
vietnam sounds awesome but 3 people i know who went all got ill (different trips), and all blame sewage - ie hotels flushing raw sewage straight into sea where everyone rides in some spots - if true a good reason to sort this out cos i love the idea of warmth, wind and low cost food and accom! i have nightmares of bali belly extreme as it is lol
