looking at buying a little C, like 7/8/9. Wanting to keep to a scabby $650 budget. Any ideas regarding Fuel, Vegas, Rhino, Torch, + any others. This will be mainly for high wind wave riding.

PS: im not going to put my life at risk by going older than 2005.

The Wipika Matrix's from 05 and 06 were fairly well regarded too, the 8.5m was a good kite.

Erm... Best yargas. Amazingly some people still bash Best but that would be advertising ignorance of great kites.

My 2005 Yargas have been great. Strong as feck, safe, nice ride, upwind, range, re-launch - everything except bottom end (v.good top though). I just got a bargain on a new 2006 Yarga so hunt around for a new one too.

BTW my 2005s were 13m and 9m. The 9 is an awesome little kite in 22-30+kts. Super fast (for my intermediate skills) and a mega booster.

you could either A) bargain down price on complete B) go to local shop and see if they have old C bars on sale. C) use your best bar but get a permanent stopper and pretty much half the bar throw, add a optional 5th line if you really want to but im pretty certain that kite is 4 line capable?

Hey Boyo,

I still have my first set of Kites and I like them better than quite a lot of newer ones that I've flown when I was looking to upgrade. They are '05 Gaastra Visions in sizes 8,12 and 16m the 12m is awesome and the 8 is a damn good smaller kite. The safety system on the bar is pretty good too.
