Firstly would like to say im loving the transition into wakeboots (LF Vantages w/ 2012 UG Steeze), edge and overall connection is just insane! Finally have my stoke back for the sport/

Small problem though, I keep cutting underneath my chin every time I have a decent stack with hooked in moves (unhooked moves haven't been an issue), the way the boots work with 90% of stacks it comes from catching and edge which generally means getting pulled in the direction of the kite/lines and my chin keeps taking out either the chicken-loop or the bar, at this rate I'll have no chin left!

Does anyone know how to stop this?

Josh

Tuck your knees up so your boards above the water when crashing hooked in. It's a technique in itself but you'll soon adapt.

Vantage boots are nice to start off with. I dont get how the bar is hitting your chin unless you are hooked in? What bar is it?

Ill try the knee tuck, cheers!

This was regarding hooked in stacks, Im still at a very basic level unhooked level (raley/sbend going for some passes). Most of my time on the water im doing hooked stuff, looked towards boots for more consistancy and support/comfort.

Main bar is an Epic (really a blade) bar, have a 14m RPM with the appropriate compstick.
