i have a 2 year rrd bar which pretty much all the grip/padding has come off, tried the shop where i bought it, no luck

also tried duct tape/glue/tennis racket handle stuff not much good, as most of the grip is in the ocean now

any advise, anyone know where you buy the foam grippy stuff(technical term)
it is fine without it, but i will sell end of the year and looks ugly, dont want to buy a new bar

cheers

I got some from Airborne a couple years ago, not sure if they still have it. They had a colour choice of blue or red at the time

On ebay you can buy replacement grip, alternatively get some dense foam sheet from Clark rubber and some descent contact adhesive, well spread contact as use a bit of tape to "clamp" the foam down for that initial bond.

Hey Gibbo,

I just read my post, I am slightly hungover as you can see by what I wrote.

Try to get some decent contact adhesive, the stuff people like to sniff thats got solvents in it, it will soften the foam/rubber a little to allow it to mold itself.

Put the contact on both surfaces, it's all down to preparation, allow to dry slightly and wrap the bar - but there is no second chances so make sure you got your game plan right.

Cheers
Rich
