I bought a secondhand Slingshot bar and lines for my RPM as a backup if I had a problem with my new bar
My RPM backstalls when attached to the bar
I pulled the depower strap and it flew a lot better but still not perfect
And of couse it had no depower left to pull if needed
I need to join on some pigtails to adjust the lenght of the lines more
Do I add them to the power lines or the steering lines?
Either lengthen the back lines or shorten the front lines, do the slingshot setups have an adjustment on the front lines?
Start by connecting all four lines to a fixed point and measure exactly how much length you need to correct for all lines to be equal.
Its an old Slingshot bar probably 2009,its in good condition
There is no adjustment on it
Will add pigtails to the steering lines
should be fine
I'm going with power lines. Did you wake up at 3am thinking about this?
No I came home after going out
Thinking about it at midnight ![]()

I've never had a trimmer on my custom bar set-up. ^^^
Gives you more throw-length along the chicken-rope,
without the strappy tanglement to get in the way.
Use a series of knots for correct trim, 3 knots spaced at 2" apart will do. Experiment.
Just pick a knot and gokid.
Back- stall
As said above but it could be either :
1. Front lines too long - is there any adjustment to shorten them (from memory I don't think slingshot bars do have this? - my F-ones have knots on the singe front line to depower if needed) OR ....
2 Back lines are too short - again my F-one has adjustment on these as well - not sure about the slingshot bar you have.
As above ^^^^^ (chulbota's post) - equal line length is the important thing and it doesn't really matter if you do 1. or 2. - or both, to achieve what is needed !!
Good luck and let us know what you ended up doing !!
