To the Administrator and Moderators of the Website Council of the SeaBreeze Forum in WorldWideWeb assembled.
We, the underposted, being your humble forum members, humbly and respectfully petition you, our noble e-Squire and Breeze-meister, that the account of the Username "Alex Sanz" be banned and banished, excommunicated and expelled, forthwith and forever, from the forum that we cherish and love, to wit: "KiteSurfing - General".
We seek this for reasons that have already been articulated by many in recent posts on said forum, and which reasons have been further evidence by the person in question himself, by virtue of his:
1. misrepresenting kiting practices known to be dangerous as being safe
2. misrepresenting kiting practices known to be dangerous as "new sports"
3. admonishing critics of those dangerous practices as lacking courage
4. falsifying or otherwise omitting facts in respect of his own injuries incurred while himself performing said dangerous kiting practices
5. advocating to newcomers to the sport that they engage in kiting practices known to be dangerous with reckless and negligent disregard for their safety
6. promoting his personal business in videos and more generally leading readers to those videos via his posts.
We are concerned that the user "Alex Sanz" wastes the time of many good members who feel compelled to debunk and expose "Alex Sanz"'s posts, the great majority of which posts are devised to promote dangerous practices. Unless "Alex Sanz" is banned from this forum, the SeaBreeze Forum will continue to be used by "Alex Sanz" to procure persons for his commercial business as an instructor, whether or not a qualified instructor, via video posts featuring a business name, whether on not a registered business name. This therefore breaches the Forum rules, and the nature of the breach is so gross and flagrant as to warrant immediate and permanent banning from the SeaBreeze Forum.
And your petitioners as in duty bound, will ever pray.

Sandgroper, while you are trying to ban him from seabreeze, you might also want to remember to ban him from your treehouse, sitting next to you at playtime, or touching your lego.

Alex has begun to reveal enough of himself for many to see what he's like. So banning may be unnecessary as many people know his agenda and loose interpretation of facts. I totally agree however that his posts are for publicity/ advertising/ stimulating his own ego and note that its my interpretation that if not a sponsor, he shouldn't be promoting his business here.
Groper however does seem judgmental about the safety of things he doesn't do. night kiting, land-boarding etc. Anything can become reasonably safe with the right surrounding circumstances. You just need to assess things before doing them to have a decent idea of the risks involved.
As for groper claiming he's not scared, just concerned for his safety...... Its best I think, that you do what you think is safe for you and let others do the same assuming there's no laws against it and you aren't putting others at risk without their informed consent.
Summation:
Alex stop advertising.
Groper, try some new things or let others. Its not your job to save us all from our selves.
I agree, ban Sandgroper. What an arsehole.

Funny thing is though, in groper's first post you could replace Alex's name with at least 10 other forum users I can think of off the top of my head, who all could be accused of the same sorts of things.

What I really enjoy about this forum is that it is everybodies forum. I don't have much to add to what's been said.
Here's an interesting perspective for those who like statistics.
All the "thumb votes" are totalled up (+1 for green, -1 for red). Each member can cast only one vote per post.
In the lead for the "Most Unpopular by Count of Votes" is Mr Sanz
Leading the "Most Unpopular by Count of Unique Voters" is Mr Groper
And of course our good friends surfingboye & Kiting Casey are right up there alongside them.
On a positive note, Poor Relative will be stoked to know he is the leader for both "Most Popular by Count of Votes" and "Most Popular by Count of Unique Voters".
Well done Poor Relative for bring plenty of laughs to the forum (especially when its all getting a bit serious)

My 2c (geez I go through some coin on this site) is, Alex is a bit of a tool but I can't believe how many folks get riled and actually bite when he posts.
Try this: See a post started by Mr Alex? Then don't give it another thought and move on to the next thread.. easy
Or get really angsty and write all kinds of nasty cr@p directed at him (which usually makes you look almost as big a tool) and then take copious laxatives, your choice.
BTW you should apply this same technique to Groper's posts (if they bother you).
Personally I don't mind having a differing opinion aired from Groper now and then. At least he is not just trying to drawn attention to himself and stoopid stunts. Er.. perhaps this thread is an exception though.
Alternatively we could all don khaki Mao suits and fall in line with no dissention or honest opinions allowed. More plain rice and warm water anyone?

Leave Mr Sanz alone if we ban him from seabreeze then who are we going to pay out on.Remember he was the pioneer of kitesurfing in Australia LOL.
