Actually, there is no escaping politics......

I noticed a couple of weeks ago, Dimitri logged onto this forum and started a couple of threads including one in the noob section.

To my dismay, when i logged on again, the threads had been deleted....

Bit of a shame really....someone with his wealth of knowledge would have a lot to contribute to this forum

absolutely LOATHED teaching on epic kites for one season. the QR would ALLWAYS JAM ALLWAYS not a single time. and no matter how subtle i tried to make it the students would naturally ask .... ummm what is that about? we tried sanding them we tried lubricating them everything and anything.

if that wasn't bad enough the bloody dodgy kites would piss out air with every crash. the rubber valves were soft enough any crash would compress the air enough to flex the weak valves and open up so the caps would let air out.

when i first started seeing dims videos i thought oh christ some silly old kook got himself a company. but i have watched enough of them now to get the sense of humour a bit and to not take it to seriously and they are actually not to bad to point i quite like them and even more hope he goes well.

i just wish the kites weren't so second rate.

the difference between top of the line manufacturers is insane. im sure his designs are fine but when it comes to manufacturing a product ozone cabrinha north slingshot and the few other big brands just demolish the competition.

Out of interest, how long ago was it. I have seen a few complaints about the bar and valves in the past but not much in the last 18 months. Was wondering if the company has sorted out a few of the issues?

Partly asking because I know he shares the same designer with Blade kites. I'd have thought both would be designed with the same valves. Might be one to cross off my demo list for a while?

Yeah the old bar's QR was **** and was an acknowledged ****ty design by all the brands who used it. I had to put two hands to it when I needed it to release in an emergency...the new one is apparently better.

Miser,

i still have the bar your talking about and it releases fine for me, not one jam... i can take a video of it this weekend if your really into exaggerating things and have a Personal grievance.
The latest bar works fine as do all companies that make improvements...

As far as the kites go, i have 2014,15 and 16 model kites.. i dont upgrade everything unless its worn out.
Lose air every crash - because valves come open, thats a good one your making me laugh now

It must be just your thing - the west coast sees me
Jumping like a looney in cyclone and light winds.
Please feel free to ask if anyone has seen me swimming back with a soft kite or handling badly from leaking valves !!!!
I also still have and use a 3g 9m and a V1 Infinity lightwind kite.

So im stoked as - to be jumping over most people on an old model kite let alone the 2 newr ones I have
