Oldest BWS kiter you ask?
Just turned 50 and ride Noise V2's and Rawson 6'1.
I think Beno should donate a new Pro to the oldest kiter in each state. (Which is me in QLD, Ha ha. )
Any older codgers out there???![]()

Kiting is majority over 60 year olds..
How many young kids you see getting about these days..
Its all bucket hats, pooh stance and oceanus reel leashes...
57years mathematically still trying to kite like the 18 year olds, back surfing since moving back to qld after 25 years in wa , many of us older folk kiting over there ,**** we were old when we started 11 years ago
BWS pros on drifter , bury me at sea when I can't kite/ surf
boonty, you just got owned...
hope I'm still kiting when I'm fifty....
if the ocean isn't too radioactive
Kiting is not about age it's about technique , ok a bit if fitness.
I've kited four hour sessions and sometimes only lasted a hour , do what suits you and stuff every one else ,enjoy the ocean and waves for yourself doesn't matter what the guy on the next wave thinks as long as your enjoying It.
Life's to short to worry if your better younger older than the guy next to you ,chill out and enjoy the moment
70 year old bloke at north queens beach in redcliffe nearly every day. and ive kited with people 75+ a few times before
Plenty of us over 60,s here in WA
We can kite every day- whenever we want -dont work retired
we can afford to buy whatever gear we need--------tax free super
dont have bosses or jobs or have to go to time wasting meetings and put up with all that bull s#1T -or drive to work
sleep till the wind comes in if we wish
can read seabreeze all day if we wish
wouldn't have it any other way
one day you will all be there
and will you still be kiting then?
fit enough and able to afford the time and cost
just rubbing it in because
Its later than you think!!!!

Yeah gloat all you want..
If only you over 60's daredevils had the commonsense to get WAKSA membership and the relevant life insurance to go with your 'rub it in' attitudes.
Then we could all sit back and not have to 'sympathy post' when you fully polax yourselves.
The clock is ticking MR ZZZZ, and you only have less than a few years left in the sport.. You can come watch at the beach with your carer instead.

Nice. ^^^
To be sure,
NoBS suffers from gerascophobia.
That's the fear of growing old.
This explains why he bashes on older folks on the forum all the time.
He's scared of the inevitable.
But NoBS isn't young, far from it.
So it's all a bit weird, hey.
lol.
He's worried about his expiration date.
There's a scent of desperation that surrounds him.
And when the smell of mold gets overpowering on poor old NoBS,
someone tell him that it's going to be all right.
Give him a big nob hug.
Dude, it's ok.
You'll still be kiting at 60.
Dude, you'll still be doing what you do now on a kite.
You mow the lawn now on your kiteboard ....
and you'll be mowing the lawn right into the future.
Retire hard, play hard ....
and then bow out disgracefully.
lol.
No I'm just bashing older people on the forum.. because they are in fact old....
Who left the door of the falcon retirement home open and let slave out??
Attention NoBS
Got my waksa membership have you?
My carer is a 29 year old ex supermodel
When im 70 she will be be 40
Will be looking at her on the beach not you
I think you will find that the more years you register on the age scale the more likely you are to have WAKSA (KA) membership.
It may be an old wives tale but there is something in the old Age = Wisdom theory.
And you gotta be pretty damn stupid to kite without it (unless you always kite alone on a deserted beach - the only just reason)
WAKSA membership.

I dig my deserted pointbreak.
lol.

End of the day NoBs, it doesn't matter what you say...at least they have made it to that age - you obviously have not and may not make it to that age!!![]()
Some of the fat young b#st**d@ I saw at the shops today won't be around when they're fifty. Go the old farts!!
WAKSA membership.

That is NOT a deserted beach Slave. WAKSA membership there is a must.
I'm 52, have a full quiver of BWS kites, twin tip & Surf. Been kiting for only 2 seasons & semi-retired. I got some tuition for a few days in Maui & my Instructor was 65 years old. I then went & hung out with his mates at Kite Beach for the rest of the week - they're all up around 75. Now that they are retired they actually follow the summer seasons, kiting all over the world. Bahamas, Fiji, Sri Lanka, various Countries in Africa, & Maui. All riding twin tips & travel only with a Golf Bag full of gear.
They say Kiting is easier on their bodies than what Windsurfing is.... (Stop & think a minute KNOBs - perhaps you're doing an old man's sport - maybe you should take up Bowls next & drink 7s at the R'ie). They can afford Schooners & don't have to skimp on accommodation, dining & travel either.
I'm envious of this crew, they enjoy a life I dream of having ( & am almost there).....
Keep going to work KNoBS, you obviously don't qualify, yet....
I am 52 as well, full quiver of kites, full quiver of boards. I am more stoked on the water than I have been in years. More freedom. I am now on the semi retired side, but now run a small school over the summer. Travel in the winter. Kite beach for me is across the street. Its a dream, somebody has to live it, might was well be me. I am always happy to share the stoke.
Kiting is perfect for older crew, you can lose bowel control at any time and hey so what no one can smell me from here !

Hey Dafish, nice looking board you got there. Firewire? can you share some spec's, or photos and the make of that one ? I'm making a couple with a mate over the hols.
keep rippin'

And how stupid you need to be to pay up to subsidise kiters 700ks closer to events which some of waska fees go to. Stop peddling bs , insurance is smart but your just not paying for that, your living in a glass bowl mate
