Calling all boost guru's in Perth to put on a show this thursday at the scarborough amphitheatre.Get upside down in the sky and roll and fly!
Just before everyone starts kiting in front of the amphitheater on Thursday, Diamond, you might want to clarify that you are joking (or is this an organised event?)..... You are joking, are t you??!?!?
Probably the worst place to kite with all the families and tourists on the beach and obviously the flags regularly set up there.
Some clown was kiting there last week. He was out early, just as the seabreeze came in about 1.00pm. One of the first out on the coast and he chose that spot?!?! WTF. Heaps of people on the beach and swimming. He went a fair way out and kept returning to the flags. Life guards kept yelling and blowing their whistle to tell him to bugger off but did not work. They ended up having to use the PA system that is heard by most of Scarborough!!!
A bit embarrassing to be a kiter on that day.
And also, eastern states don't care and will say this should be in the WA section!!
OR GET DRAGGED FACE FIRST THROUGH THE DUNES..
SEEMS TO HAPPEN A FAIR BIT THAT WAY LATELY
KOOKFEST 14 IT SHOULD BE CALLED. (SPONSORED OF COURSE BY JEEP)

Pleease explaaiiin?
Wtf?
Boost off should def. be organised.
Not now though, June/July, 45knots. Highest human wins, landings not necessary, and will be frowned upon.

^^^^Diamond, can we make it an open event?!
One of the best venues around Perth would have to be at woodies. Not on the usual beaches but on the south side of the rock wall at the most western carpark. With a north west wind you have perfect flat water there and you could edge up and boost right in front of the car parkl literally meters away from spectators. The main reason people don't kite there more often is that if you down your kite there in a north west then you are drifting offshore with the next stop being rockingham. If someone does want to organise an event ( official or unofficial) one one of those nuking days over winter then I would be happy to use my boat as a rescue boat to avoId having riders go missing at sea. Anyway just a thought, it would be epic tho!!!!
So long as you can organising the event in advance to be on the 3 days a year when the North west blows![]()

Maybe, you should plan for a South West wind???![]()
True north west winds aren't as consistent as the southwest we get in the summer but there are still plenty of days in the winter. This last winter had roughly 5 or 6 days where the storm front winds we're reaching 50knots+ and plenty of other days with 25 to 30
I was there, where were you guys??
Jumped off the bottom step of the amphitheatre, I reckon that is a solid 2ft. Claiming the win.
