just call Ant on his listed mobile number 0412 832 392
websites are so yesterday, but Google is alive for contact details until AI takes over...
Pretty sure he's selling up. Wanna be the new host?
Ahhhh no worries. Alas it's not for me but hopefully someone passionate buys it.

You gotta be kidding, right?
This is nuts. Kitesurfing doesn't harm the land; in fact it doesn't usually happen on land anyway.
Besides, the indigenous people claimed to be custodians of the land who didn't own but merely cared for it, so what's with this 'traditional owners' BS?
Please tell me that sign isn't the reason, that would be insane...

Custodians = Cash generally probably no kick back from the Kite Camp?
I'll ask his brother whats crackin they are getting on in years, maybe retiring??
i thought the land owners elders etc complained as thwy were not paid enough so close down
If you go camping (i.e. just with your mates - not a paid tour) you need to get permission from an elder, so if you make money they would like a cut
That's a real shame. It's very much a unique location and crazy windy. I went once and liked the location and novelty of getting there. When I was there the local people seemed pretty okay with everything.
Maybe down the road they will reconsider? Hopefully, as it was a rare opportunity to go to a place of Australia you wouldn't normally see. I can't see why the local people wouldn't like the place to exist.
That is sad news. Kite Surfari was my first kiting holiday about 16 years ago, I did two trips back to back. I was on my own there for a day or two during the changeover. I will never forget that experience. I don't remember seeing any locals. Ant was a great host, back then there was zero infrastructure, we used sand spears to get water and he had rigged a custom copper coil that went through the camp fire for hot showers, that was about the only luxury. After camping for a week in tents, Ant mentioned there was a local croc that lived about 500m down the beach!
Thanks for everything. Good luck in your next venture.
