Hey Surflily, the photos of the Slingshot kite with 3 struts in your profile is one of the latest sling shot kites. I see you have deleted all the slingshot kites images from your profile since your last post. Interesting move.

How do you delete your photos.
Didnt think it was possible.

Sorry I didn't do a screen grab, when I checked the profile after the first post there where about 5 picts in it mostly of slingys, now there is one. Any how Surflily looks like a awesome kiter chick and I look forward to helping her out once I get the kite details sorted.

Chris-why do you need a serial number to close a sale to a third party?

Ah I see, so you thaulght I was accusing some one of theft? Nah mate. I just want to see what model year and how new the kite is.

Never crossed MY mind.

To check what model/year kite it is and to trace who it was sold from and estimate the amount of use the kite may have had.

Ah I see, so you thaulght I was accusing some one of theft? Nah mate. I just want to see what model year and how new the kite is.

We had 30 kites stolen in EU, we tracked down the thieves by using the serial numbers and got all the kites back. Also if your kite gets stolen its harder for people to sell them as we put a list of stolen IDs to distributors and they can check against ebay sales etc.

hey thanks Splaat.

after reading all your posts in this topic i am now aware that griffen is certainly the best kite manufacturer. they provide excellent kites and great after sales service.

also you must be the best dealer/retailer worldwide. the way you support this website is just great.

thanx mate, keep it going.

INteresting way you like to promote yourself, do you think you are doing yourself any favors?

I dont frequent these forums very often SPLAAT, especially my profile... which you prompted me to go looksie, infact I did have some photos up, only one of which had a photo of a slingshot from 2007 session at woodies taken by a photograhper, thats right... I checked the date. I had posted a few so the boys could see if they wanted them, I have since deleted ALL old photos of boards, kites etc from my profile, I tidied it up because Im a girl and we do that. I have left one profile photo up of Moi, as its a profile pic and relevent. Nothing suspicious there just being a girl, sorry.

Any how I have great news for you, I have a sale for your kite, please get me the serial number as I requested asap so I can close the sale.

If anyone wants to demo a griffin message me, We support schools and shops all around Australia and NZ + over 52 distributors around the planet, Try before you buy and don't fall for the marketing hype machine.

Surflily , there was no insult, Just stating that you are promoting or part of a school that doesn't sell griffins and is in competition with a griffin school near by, that you have deleted images from your profile of all the slingshot kites including the latest 3 strut kite since your last post. I apologise if this came across as an insult but you got to admit it all sounds a bit dubious?

All the best mate, once again apologies if it sounded like an insult, Happy kiting!

(ps. I still need that serial number please)

So let me try and understand what you are saying, your kinda apologising for insulting me and then you are finishing by insinuating still that I stole it, Dude your making your self sound like a knob head, you should quit while you are at still a head. Its not a good marketing approach for your brand your trying to promote, is it.

You really think I believe you have a sale for me ... " Ill lure her in with a sales prospect.. then I can get the serial number to see if she stole it."
I dont need your sale, there are 6 interested parties over here looking for a cheap winter kite, i just need to get some photos sorted.
You would so like to know how I got this kite, cos you probably only have about 5-10 nationwide and know the owners of each. Im not going to pleasure you with the story as to how I have this kite, because its none of your business and I think you are being extremely rude and I dont like that!

I will however let the new owner know how I have it, its a funny story actually.
Im bored of this topic and its taking up too much of my time.
Stop trying to make a big story out of this just to keep your Post at the top.
I am just selling a 7m griffin that i dont want.
Again goodluck! sounds like you need it
Thanks for all the insults its just what I needed

If Ive got some old photos of Wipika on my profile are you gonna start slagging me off for that too?
Oh ok! ... I see, Im only allowed to post photos of the brands that I use in the school to my profile because thats the Forum Law, sorry Laurie, I must have missed that one.

Hey Surflily, relay sorry if I upset you, I think this topics gone way off.

Brand snipers have a tactic of saying they have some ones brand and bagging it. The serial number thing usually resolves the issue. Dont worry about it, all the best.

BTW.

I had 6 kites stolen last year. 3 were Griffins.

Chris helped me recover 3 of them and I was really happy with that :-).

There are many Griffins out at Melville on any given day. Plenty of Griffins sold in Perth over the last year+.

Chris is a decent guy Surflily.

Pity the thread got out of hand a little.

Good winds!

Never one to get off side with you ms surflily (as you well know) but I really have to give Chris a prop here as well.
Can see why you took offense; seeing the way the thread went; but it is definitely unwarranted. Chris is a top guy - the last to ever deliberately offend anyone 4 sure.
Im sure no apologies are needed either way but a bit of understanding bw two top notch ppl & equally top notch kiters is surely a good way to go.
