Totally over the lack of wind this winter on tbe south coast of NSW, found this forecast for Aruba, booked flights this mornig and fly saturday, what could possibly go wrong!

I've been there and it's really nice, good snorkeling/diving, warm water. Didn't go kiting though.

I have been, it was back in 2001, so memory is a bit hazy. I was there for about 2 weeks and kited almost every day (up by fishermans huts), trade winds blow offshore/side-off at this spot and there is awesome flat water. Apparently there is another spot (on the windward side of the island) with less gusty onshore wind that is worth a look as well. The fishermans huts are near where most of the hotels are. Apologies I cannot be more informative, it was a long time ago. But it is a great place to kite, trade winds blow consistently around 15-20 knots.
ha, my forecast looked like that too days before arrival at Tarifa. Then it changed and went dead. I mean dead! Tarifa, of all places.... :(
So your going to the other side of the world to a place you know nothing about just because it looks like a good wind forecast!!

Pretty much Jacob!!! did look back through the windguru archives! the place seems to just be insane year round! good waves down south and flat water north! Il keep ya posted on what its like.
Can never plan to far ahead with a wind or wave break so just winging it

spend a night in miami on the way over and a day in LA on the way back.
the flights weren't to bad....... $950 return LA with virgin, boards are free. $500 return LA - miami with alaska air boards are free and $450 miami Aruba ruturn. $25 US for a board back so whats the 11 million Australian at the min 
. I did have some US dollars from before November last year which is really helping.
