Heading down South for a week with a bunch of lads.

A few of us kite and will be smashing out a bunch of downwinders.

I just noticed the Corindi River on Google Earth.

Has anyone had any experience with the place? I'd imagine its tide dependent like alot of the places north.

Cheers.

Havent kited at Wooli but have been there and from memory didnt think the river looked great for kiting. Maybe either side of the break walls you could get some smooth water and small waves because from memory they werent very high and shouldnt cause too much turbulence.

CAn't comment on corindi river but have kited a similar setup nearby that was tide dependent, had fairly light wind and the tide was coming in which was a deal breaker..would have been fun on the outgoing. These river mouths without breakwalls meander and change so frequently so you will probably turn up and it will look noting like on google earth.

Haven't kited there but used camp at Corindi Beach van park and go dirt bike riding in that area all the time.

The town has a milk bar and a pub....great pizzas at the pub and the best burgers from the milk bar!

shots are taken from the van park

Looking south to Arawarra

and north to Red Rock

if the winds on should be ok....don't know about the river mouths in that area, they seem a bit sheltered....

beautiful place just to chillax if u luck out with the wind!
