she-na-ti-gins!

to all other states out there...for the next couple days (weeks,months...) expect WA riders to be sun-tanning on the beaches instead!
don't expect any hardcore riding.

even a half-hour session in these conditons leaves one COMPLETLEY & utterly knackerd!

I did about 45 minutes at Pinaroo on a 9m in 30 knots... I'm a bit of a sucker for punishment

I had a good fall after boosting and that was me done for the day

I had about an hour at woodies today.
PS. "Garden Island" is closer than rotto.
And those winds were gentle breezes compared to kitestock...

Kind of reminded me how much i enjoy the winter storms...

Bit shocked when just now looking at the charts and was blowing 25-35 knots while were downwinding from City Beach to Trigg from 12-2ish today. I know it was windy but holy c##p!

I was trying out a demo kite today- Eclipse Nano 7m-which made it a much better experience than on the Kitestock downwinder, about the same wind by the charts, on my old 10m kite. At Kitestock was I barely in control, today was great fun!

Gonna sleep well after my 2 sessions today- 1 hour at Melville this morning and 2+ hours at the coast this arvo...

Out at Scrarbs on my 5m Best Grunt for 2 hours this arvo. Great fun, nice bit of swell. Bring it on, the 5M can handle up to 45 knots.

Lancelin for me, a couple of hours on the 6mtr Eclipse Kima then a couple on the 5.5 F-One DOS.
Rather challenging conditions, very gusty and heaps of swell out the back, but a bit all over the place.
I had a bit of a scare when I dropped my kite right in the impact zone but luckily it popped up straight away.

*gosh*

5m, 6m & 7.5m kites - gotta love it!
i got up this morning & it feels like i'm in need of a wheelchair.

must be one of the last fronts of real kick-ass winds(literally) for the summer season...
autumn is here...bring on the wetties -how cold was yesterday late arvo?!

p.s savethewhales: you got that nice 'lull' section between 11am&1pm where it was averaging 25knots...
but Peli's on the river (INLAND) - doesn't pick up the intensity & consistency as woodies does (on the ocean)

'till that next sacred front hits...

Ha ha tell me about it, I ended up having dinner before leaving Lancelin at about 8pm, the wind was still blowing around 30knots from the South (which means I was driving straight into it)
I had my window down as I was driving out of town and went to wind it up as I got out onto the highway...... bloody electric windows.... the damn thing would not move, no matter how hard I hit it, or how much I swore.
I must have driven 20 k's before I decided I couldn't take anymore of it, it was freezing, I pulled up and wrapped my towel around the door frame and slammed the door shut and continued on my way, it was much better but it soon started flapping in the wind, so I ended up driving home the rest of the way with one hand holding the towel to stop it from flapping. I must have tried to wind up the window twenty times at least on the way as my hand was frozen but nuh nothing. When I got to suburbia (Joondalup) I removed the towel so I could see properly and tried one more time and the bloody thing went up, and is now working fine.
