i wish i videoed it… the big gust came with torrential rain so i down winded back to my tether i left on a fence, so it was pretty smooth but i could only just see the water as the rain bounce off the surface. Was like skiing powder.

"The highest off-shore wave was 10 metres, recorded by the Manly wave buoys before the recording system cutout at about midnight.

According to Rob Sharpe, senior meteorologist with Weatherzone, the seas are now "quite likely even higher than midnight," after strong offshore winds continued into the morning."
