Ive got a 55cm BEST Bar but am in need of a 45cm.

Is it possible to just enscrew the little end bits and pull them off..... then just cut a bit of each end and put it all back together?

Anyone ever tried it? Or anyone know what the actual bar peice is made of?

Alternatively - anyone got an 2007 45cm bar that they wanna swap with a 55cm?

Yes, done it with an old slingshot bar. Works fine, but make sure you get your measurements spont on off either end and scure the ends back on, or else you will end up in a world of frustration

Yep, i've done the same mine was a slingshot bar too.

unscrew the ends, rip them off the bar, clean out any bits of glue and crap in the bar ends, saw the bar ends down, drill a new hole on each end for the screw, reattach bar ends and screw them in.

Hopefully your bar is similar. The biggest issue is removing the bar ends from the bar itself. Hopfully yours aren't glued on too tight.
