I've got a few days off and as the wind always looks better there, as per graphics...
It's even forecasted NE at some stage. DI always seem to be 3-4 knots minimum higher than Sunshine Coast.
I thought I'd do a trip to check it out. Any takers? Advice?

Isnt double island point a shark haven? I dont think anyone has been taken there though....
Forecast is looking great for surfing there but not for wind.
The wind is always 5 knots more there because the weather station is up at the lighthouse. The real wind is always a little less than reported.
Awesome place in SW to NW but crap in a NE until you get a little closer to Noosa.
