Hi thinking about buying a nobile infinity or may be a shinnster. It's easy enough for me to demo the shinn but no chance for the nobile does any one know much about the board ?
I ride a twin tip and want to have a go at strapless and may be get into the surf. Most of all I'm looking for something to learn on and to double as a lite wind board. Lots of people say the shinn is fun , work in lite wind well and also it's really cheap so I will be demo in one soon but the nobile also looks pretty interesting and would prob work better in the surf and also has the option of straps what might be dandy got my first couple of attempts.
I'd say you definately want straps in the beginning...and when its over 20kts... But that's just my 2cents...

I've ridden one a few times - pretty slick little board.
The shinnster is easy to learn strapless on. The low volume makes it float on your feet like a twintip when waterstarting. I almost never need to use my hands to position the board on my feet as I can float up to it with the kite and get going. I'm new to strapless and when I borrow an actually surfboard I find it much harder than my shinnster. I don't have any trouble using it in 25 knot plus wind and a smaller kite.

Within three months of regularly being strapless, all of your different devices will be easy to start on (different, but easy).
I haven't ridden a Noble infinity but if it's anything like my 5"8' Axis new wave they wont be the best in light wind sol I wouldn't not get it for light wind riding.
If you want to learn strapless riding I would go for that type of the board.

I've have an older mobile infinity and it's a fun board to play in the surf with. I found it good to transition from a TT board - more so for the up wind tracking while practicing your gybes. On really rough days I'll put the straps back on for jumping the waves to get out a bit quicker.
I've found the infinity is not the greatest for very LW - (more likely me lol - with most of my riding off the beach I find I don't bother in less than +12kn).
It's not a proper surf board but it doesn't pretend to be - its just a fun play board.
