Hi

There's not much feedback on this kite throughout the internet. Most of what I found is on this site- quite useful but I wondered if anyone can say anymore about it, esp. the 12m. I want to use it as a LW kite (14kn up) - I'm 95kg, so how is the low end? Is it a delta kite? They advertise it as a delta with c kite genes, not sure what that really means. Any other comments really appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

Hi Christian,

I have been riding the GTS' a fair bit and really like them. They are fast and grunty. I have flown the 10m and the 8m. Both have huge power and turn quick on their fast light settings.

Huge boosting and not very delta like at all in regards to feel. They don't have as much a "C" feel as say a Vegas, but they pull hard through the loops and are great to unhook on so yes they are a good compromise if you want a kite that does everything. The GTS has three settings on the steering and three settings for bar pressure so you can use any combination to alter the kite to your preference.

The GTS is quite a "punchy" kite which suits aggressive riding in strong gusty winds or can be really fun in moderate winds and quite easy to handle.

Relaunch is easy, quality is awesome and the kite just "works" well in all settings, no luffing or stalling, no bad habits.

They are not as smooth as the Ozone C4 but are smoother than the Core GT.

You can say lots of stuff about a kite on forums but it doesn't add up to a hill of beans next to a decent demo session. Most Core dealers will have at least one in stock for demo. Demo Demo Demo!

Cheers,

DM

GTS one word= RIPS!

We have spend heaps of time on 8m,9m,10, and 12m.

The GTS is responsive and super fast. Even the bigger sizes turn very nice.

it loops predictable, powerful but smooth.
I have used it in Waves and for Freestyle and it works really well.
You have to trim the kite a little bit depending on what you would like out of it.
You got 3 tuning options on front-line bridal and back-line connectors

The power development is not as prompt as the GT and the bar pressure is a bit lighter than the GT too.

The kite is build like a brig house!

Cheers for the replies. What do you reckon on a 12m GTS for a 95kg experienced rider on a TT135/42 in 14/15kn? Big enough to be powered up to boost/stay upwind or not?

HI Christian,

I'm pretty sure that a GTS 12m would keep you up wind in those conditions, dont know about boosting big, but I dare say you'd get some kind of jumps in. It would depend on what state you are in. If in Perth, I think no problem as the wind is more dense and grunty here. I stay upwind in about 15-16 knots on a 135 and I'm about 87 kilos on a 10m. I reckon a 12 would see me starting to boost in that much wind. Also depends on your skill level.
