I'm currently working with a local surfboard shaper who's interested in doing a few boards for me. He keeps asking me questions about rails, rocker, weight, polyester, epoxy how much glass and where in comparison to paddle surfboards. I kind of have an idea but probably not as precise as he'd like. He use to make heaps of windsurfers back in the polyester days, but it's all surfboards now.
Anyway it seems like there's a few guy's that know a bit about shaping boards on this forum. If anyone's got some tips/suggestions on what has or hasn't worked would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to waste his time and materials and money.
I understand it may take a few boards to get it right, but it would be great to go close on the first one and only have to make a few refinements.
PS I have done a few searches but not really coming up with much.
