Pretty sure it's not been posted yet.

Opinion is, C4 has great initial lift, but not so much hangtime..... Oh yeah???

Enjoy

I guess it could. On the other hand, maybe he just couldn't see his life ending without giving it a try...

Maybe he didn't want to do what so many do.. Sit watching mindless spirit crushing reality shows on TV whilst eating himself into an early grave... I say good on him for living.

Oh, thank f*ck.. I just sounded like this old classic...

Sick - I used to go there and stay in that hotel every year in my Commando days, wish kiting had been around back then, wouldve been easier than skiing across the Hardangervidda plateau all the bloody time :)

Either mad or very talented or both. i have 4 kites i'd rather jump off a mountain on before i'd reach for a c4... amusing choice. but none the less it worked for him

Exactly. It's the skills required with the C4 that got me, a really fine touch required.. unlike a big foil.
Not to mention these kites and bars are not really 'rated for flight' like some of the dedicated Ozone flying gear.

Laughed at the 'MC' at 2:40 - "Everything good, there is no train; Marek, you can jump..."

If the dump valve opened mid flight would the kite
(1) keep flying
(2) act like a parachute
(3) crumble up and plummet to the ground.

Don't you dare go driving to work tomorrow, it's far too dangerous.

Put your Snuggie back on and get back to your hot chocolate n cookies.. You might get electrocuted whilst typing your cryptic pessimism.

Stay safe now...

I think new Ozones have a screwed dump valve? Not likely to open.

For what its worth, the 2011 c4 had a prob with its valve and kept popping even in normal flight. Met quite a few who complained about.

Not that it matters here as i have a feeling ya man in this vid, knows his gear. I dont think you can pull somink like this off without having an clue.

Here's a oldie but a goody! Kite surfing kites and harnesses are not really designed for what this guy is doing, but I flew hang gliders for many years and would love to try something like this!

That was pretty f'in legendary. I liked it when he said he was worried about landing on the lake because the ice was so thin.

What impressed me was their very vigorous and scientific safety measure regarding a potential train arriving. Safety first....lol....

That was the humour I enjoyed in it too eppo

@ vwpete - I heard of slow leaking if sand was trapped in the o-ring but not popping, can't see how a screwed dump valve could "pop".

Anyway, that's a 2012 C4 - No risk whatsoever Credit to him, awesome jump however you look at it.. If it had been me, you'd have been ble to follow the thin brown trail down the mountain...
