I used the mount from the package the GoPro comes in. A lot of my friends just chucked this out. But a few drill holes, some bolts from Bunnings at $1.25 each and hey presto- A poor mans line mount. Good thing about it is that you don't have to sacrifice one of the other mounts that come with the camera.
What do ya think? Any ways to improve it?
So creative...what lengths people will go to to film themselves............amazing stuff. Sure it will float your boat.
Yeah mate. That will work nicely.
I considered using this piece when I built mine but reconsidered when I realised the potential of those sharp edges to do damage if they ended up smacking you on the head, or worse, got into your eye. Also, be aware that the plastic is quite brittle and it won't take much to break it. You could try using a bench grinder to take the corners off but again, be careful--that plastic shatters easily.
Nice work on ensuring the lines aren't binding on the U-bolts. If the line on the side you connect your safety doesn't slip easily through the U-Bolts your safety won't function...
I was going to say 'Great Work' and post a couple of comments but Robbo beat me to it :) - well done man (both of you).![]()
The idea is solid, head Robbo's grinding the edges and line safety matters and you're on the way.
For the crap comments regarding filming yourself - shove it [}:)]
Laterz and good winds.
