The sum total of footage taken over the 4 days of the The Wave Nuts in January of this year, was 14 minutes. Conditions were so epic no-one was around, awake, or capable of filming anything. Most of the footage was taken by hanging out of the window of the Land Rover for a few minutes before setting up and getting into it. The rest is from still shots from the crew and general playing with a go-pro stuck in photo mode. Anyway, all the epic waves and huge smashes we're missed, but for those of you who care to spare 5.5 minutes, here is an idea of what it was like. Cheers!
Everything about it was good, esp. the waves, music, cloths, head butt dance, go Tassie peoples.....so much better than the crap put up by Vicos......y'all got style and grace.
Hey, nice work Samio – captured the vibe!
Amazed you even got 15 mins of footage considering:
*You were on the water for whole time we were
*The tragic (yet highly amusing) pause/record mix up incident when Kyron was hitting it up bigtime at lighthouse
*Behind the scenes dedication to the little things, such as ensuring we all woke up to a fresh pot of plunger coffee!! Yeeeaaah!
Glad to provide the compulsory ‘retard’ moment
ofcourse that made it onto the 15mins haha
Thanks again mate for throwing the event together, making the vid from really limited footage and to the crew who came from around the State to be there.
Sorry to break the bad news on Toto!! ![]()
HA! Indeed Hicko, it was a damn good fail when I filmed my arm hairs while The Rathbone went out the back of 8-10ft lighthouse, then held the camera up and pressed pause, over and over again! ![]()
Big cheers to all the crew who rocked up, far too many to name on the vid for once!
Yeah good work Sam, real peaved that I missed it due to work commitments.
See you at Easter hopefully.
Awesome Sammo!! I'm extremely jealous. Would have liked to bring my kite down for a nice long swim. Should do a trip down soon.
Thats why you get a girlfriend. She films and then drives down the beach to pick you up... Thats love. Great Vid.
