I eat normal, drink (alcohol) normal....

BUT....

Female Waist Harnesses seem to start at 34inches (XS). Which is all good and dandy if your waist is 34 plus inches... but mine is 29inches (and that is measuring generously!)

I'm 1.70m so not a small girl by any measure, but struggle to find a harness which is small enough to be comfortable whilst looking awesome kiting!!

Does anyone have the same problem?? Know a brand that is compfy and does smaller sizes?? Knows a good harness that I can sew smaller?? (i.e. the velcro and remove one buckle to make smaller) Should I look into kiddy harnesses?? and is there such a thing??

Just found Prolimit does "Grommet" harnesses!! (xxxs-does not define sizing in inches, or if male or female sizing). Would this provide enough back support for me??. (Remember I am 1.70m tall)

I'm not a small guy but since I've started kiting my harness size has dropped from L to S.

Funny thing is my boardie size is still 34??

Maybe this obesity epidemic has made its way to the design tables?

Try the North air stylers, I found them to be one of the smaller harnesses around.

Jess
As a brother to 4 sisters, and a father to two daughters, I think I know when some reassurance is needed.

Your body is sexy.

I believe it would only have been creepy if I PM'd this to you.

I may have misread the situation, please feel free to flame me for my perceived inappropriateness.

I think the XS mystic girls waist harness (Hana?) is 26-28". I have the 2009 version, it's a comfy harness, I have started using mine again because its better for strapless than the nappy.

after you kite for a bit you'll usually drop a siz or two in harness and not really go back up.

i've tried a mystic too and they seem to be a good fit but not as padded as the one i currently have

I think you might have your sizes mixed up a bit Jessie.
I'm 85kg and have a 32" waist so that would mean the XS girls harness is too big for me.

At 29" there should be plenty around to fit you, I know we have ION Nova's that only fit around one of my thighs!!

Hi Miss Jessie,

Jason is right, the ION XS girls harnies are ridiculously small, as is the new XS Flying Objects Minx, which although comfy and small is not as tiny as the ION's.

I too could put at XS ION ladies harnie around my thigh and it would almost work as a tornique

hi not sure if they still make them but the Maui Magic harnesses seem to have the female sizing down pat... not sure how easy they are to find. Satin lined to you don't get rash kiting in the bikini - good for all parties!

I can't wear a seat harness cause my cock is too big. Anyone else have this problem. I don't like wearing a waist harness cause it crushes my ribs

I have a prolimit XS which is at least one size to big(even with wet suit). I put the mystic female XS on the other week and it was even larger!!

For the people taking my anorexic comments seriously- I eat a lot, eat most boys under the table. N am a happy 60kgs. I was 4kg's lighter BK (before kiting), and a maybe a lot fitter... (Triathlon fit vs kiting)

Where can I try these maui magic and ion harnesses out (they look good online but have no size charts to indicate the size associates with XS,S etc).

I'm Newcastle. Wud Sydney kite shops be the closest with these brands.

Thanks everyone for the laughs and great info!

perhaps if you left it alone for a while the swelling will go down and a seat harness may help limit your access

Hi Jess

Liquid Force also has girls harnesses (Aura) that will fit you, they come in S & M in the girls sizes. If you would like to try, PM me and I'll give you the nearest LF distributor in your area.

It's not just on the Internet kiting girls get attention, I borrowed my flatmate's pink kite one day and as soon as I launched 8 blokes came looping downwind to checkout some hot chick, it was even funnier how quickly they tacked back upwind when they saw how hairy my boobs and stomach are

I find that harness fitting, particularly waist harnesses, is much more dependent on your shape than your waist size.

I'm a 34" waist, but 6'2" and 68kgs. There is no way I could wear a waist harness designed for a 34" waist, I would swim in it.

Small Airstyler and XS Pro-limit FX are the two waist harnesses I have found most comfortable when trying them on, however I ended up getting an Airstyler because they are more colourful

Maybe try a small, or even extra small, North Airstyler, the XS is tiny, the first adult harness I have every tried that I couldn't fit. The FX comes in a girls version too I think?

Hey Jesse,
I just bought my mrs a Mystic harness and she is a size 8 dress size( not sure on size in inches) but was perfect fit, she had a few to choose from with comfort too.
Give em a crack.

Hey Miss Jessie if ya still on the look out for a harness maybe try the Dakine Wahine.....

I am the same height, weight and size waist as you (must be the perfect build for a kitechick...), I have the Dakine harness in a small size for waist 28 - 30inches, the XS is suitable for 26-28inches - maybe try the XS as my harness sometimes gets a little lose after a kite session..the harness as vvv comfy ,

Funny cos when other people have tried it on they can't believe how tiny it is, but I would not consider myself to be little in the slightest...more athletic build

I eat normal and drink (alcohol) normal...aswell

Happy kiting
