ChrwaR and the Arsa crew will be bringing a Rail up from last weekends wicked Best Friends Rail jam!!
We love you guys :)
Rail on in the Alva Flats!
whoever wants to hit the rails needs to bring a helmet!
peace*
Hey INTHELOOP crew,
I personally will not be able to make this weekend, still have far to much cleaning up to do after the Rail Jam! This means I will not be able to bring rails etc. If anyone is planning the trip north from Mackay and has a Trailer, we can arrange for Underwave A-frame to come up as it is the best rail for transporting and is easy to setup etc.
Let me know either by pm or call me 0422 430430
Hope you have a blast, cheers Chris
yeah they can, it has about 5 different levels and settings, you may not have seen it on Monday, it had a completely different up ramp and everyone was hitting it no probs!
The boxes etc did not fair that well and would not have made the trip! This rail is purpose built and can handle anything. You can have it 1 foot off the ground if you want right thru to 6-8 foot high and super tech!
It was not used that much as the first day it was setup for pro level and for photos, this was done so everyone hit the easy stuff and learnt before moving and thinking that they had to hit the A-frame first day! It is a super easy build and easy to hit if you set it up to be so!
I have a huge beach clean to do or the council will let their monkey out lol!
12 rails to get off the beach was a huge effort and there is a lot rubbish and debris left behind, sorry man.
Fair enough I reckon, can't expect much more.
I feel for you chris, I wish I was up there to help you pack up (not really) but I know just how hard some clean ups can be the days after everyone "goes south for a roadtrip" on the last day of comp or the first day of packup... haha
At least you got one thing on your side, it's all wood and can be easily destroyed. Packing up 3 tonne of steel structures with 4 people and a KM of walking in boiling sand between carpark and beach was pure hell haha.
Yeh Rowdy I hear ya, I missed my flight back the first year I went to Core because I was still helping drag **** up! I seemed to remember we had a 4wd and trailer on the first day, then when we go to take it out no truck and no-one around!
I guess you guys have paid your dues, just a sham those dues were paid at my event lol
hahaha "hide"? I was making sure it didn't roll away, the handbrake wasn't working
.
Couldn't kite with my arm anyway especially after the first day.
Don't worry Chris, you can come down to our event and have a free pass out from helping if you need one incase you hurt yourself
.
Anyone going up there from Sydney????
Or anyone flying into Twonsville ariport, wanna rent a car or give us a lift for $s?

latest Buoyweather forecast update - wind at the reef just offshore from Alva:
Sat: SE 17-23knots
Sun: SE 15-20knots
We expect a little more at the site due to the seabreeze effect and the incoming tide in the afternoon.
See you there, we're heading down for the friday arvo late sesh!
Just got home from Alva!
Thanks heaps to In The Loop for organising an EPIC weekend, had to get home for Mothers Day so left early but had a ball Saturday.
Perfect spot with great wind and plenty of talent (good kiters I mean!). We ended up with 10 kiters from Cairns but I reckon next year we'll get more, the one's that stayed home paid the price......
The whole weekend was brilliant, thanks again.
ps Manufacturers should be a little more selective about who they choose to sponser, "bad mannered teen" is not a good look regardless of obvious kiting ability.
Only one bad egg though 'cause every other sponsered rider that attended did their sponsers proud![]()
thanks for a great weekend was a great comp and fun activites you can tell you put the effort in ![]()
is it possible to look at the picures taken on the weekend cause that would be sick
cheers, Matt
Awsome weekend at Alva, great party too
thanks to marvin for getting me down there and throwing a great weekend escape from the norm
looking forward to more night kiteloop seshs in QLD![]()
Here are some pics from the Cairns crew

and a local dude who ripped
We were there, we are still here, we are buggered from 4 days of solid kiting but today was awesome there was no-one there and we had the place to ourselves the seabreeze wind meter is not accurate the wind today was 15-20, it never dropped below 15, we had the tide working with us from about 2pm.
We will be back tomorrow in Sydney and will post some of the 500+ pics we have on memory cards floating around
On of the best local events I've been too, for $30 you could not beat it for value and the atmosphere was so cool and friendly.
+ the wind cranked for all 4 days we were there.
I've never felt so burned and worked from 4 days of kiting and it was some of the most super flat water on the planet.
Big thanks to Marvin, Rachel, Chris W, Joe and Mel, etc, etc, and all the local Townsville and Alva/Maggy crew for making it possible. I know I have missed heaps of peoples names and big thanks to the DJ/Light show crew, and Glen for his fireshow- awesome!!!
Hey the photos look like it was a sic time . Love photo 6 (letter from board "lost one rider please contact me" ) ![]()
