its awesome - just come back, wind was pretty light but easily the most beautiful place I have ever kited & miles of shallow water - highly recommended!
First day i got there it was 25kts & maybe a bit more - i weigh 90 kilos and have kited for years and was well powered on a 10m
The rest of the week was a lot lighter - apparently uncommonly so (mmh) but consensus between the repeat customers was that in the windy season you tend to get 2 windy days followed by 2 light days
The rest of the time was 13-15 kts so pretty underpowered on a 13 but good weather for my girlfriend who loved practising in shallow flat water!
yer it varies heaps, in 4 weeks i had more than 1 session on my 7,9,10,12 and 14 and the new FLY. you get a bit of everything. in the video im on only a 7 and 10. but id say the average day is 15-20 knots, pretty good. its usually 4-5 days on 3 days off.
I was there about the same time and got 7 out of 11 days kiting, that was 1 day on the 14, 2 days on the 12 and 4 days straight on my 10. We arrived at the beginning of 2 down days, had 3 kiting days followed by another 2 down days and then 4 days stright.
On the down days we had a muck around on the 14 in the lagoon where we were staying but it was just lawn mowing and probably shouldn't have even worried about it.
You are one extremely lucky fellow Ewan! Living the life so many of us dream of. Congratulations on your first year in the PKRA so far and an awesome trip, unreal editing as well mate can see where the countless hours you would have spent behind the computer screen went. Oh and I want your camera that DOF snail shot was sick!
