Hi all
I recently took ownership of a Airush Razor 11m. I'm struggling with the power of the kite. I find it has a very small wind window until the kite becomes over powered, 2 to 3 knots.
does anyone have any tips on how to handle the power?
Thanks
It's awsome!!! I got a 13m and a 9m.
If you have it set on the red pigtails (wakestyle) the power and pop is huge. On the blue pigs (freestyle) it makes it more manageable + a bigger top end. you can dull further that by putting a knot in the end of the steering pigtails where it tells you. and if you have the steering on the fast setting this also makes the top end a little more manageable.
Hope this helps!

You fly this thing in 2 to 3 knots and it's overpowered!!!???
Where can I buy one!? ![]()
Hi Pentzil
I own 2013 Razor 11m
I can get a range of about 10 knots from 15 to about 25 knots
The Razor is a high performance C kite that requires a lot of skill to fly well. You need good edging skill to keep the kite forward in the window
I would not recommend it to a learner
As kemp90 said
The blue pigtails on the leading edge will make the kite more user friendly and give you better range.
Also consider tightening the 5th line a bit. I shortened mine by about 3cm from factory setingings to trim the kite the way I like it
Hi Pentzil,
Was C-shape Riders like that pop and slack in the lines for their freestyle tricks.
But those settings on the kites can make it hard for intermediate riders to use it.
Start by using the freestyle setting.
You could try to put a little bit more tension on the 5th line. (shorten the 5th line by 3 to 5cm). This will put tension on the front of the leading edge, helping the kite to fly forward, a bit flatter (more power) but usually less appealing for freestyle rider.
Good luck.
Dose any1 no what the other attachment points on the LE are there for. Maybe to stretch out and shorten the 5th?
Sound advice on frontline settings also a c kite unlike a hybrid requires good edging to depower the kite rather than pushing the bar out
Hey , may I hijack with a slightly off topic noob question ?
I started on 2011 fuels c kites and then got a crossbow 11 metre .
The bow is like a runaway steam train at times whereas the c kites I find easier to stop using edge.
I don't understand why people say c kites are not good for learning?
I didn't say you can't learn on a C kite.
I do think if you do, you will be a be a better kiter in the long run. Because you learn edge/kite control earlier
But your going to take more poundings and have to be way more committed to learning the sport.
I taught myself back in 2000 with a kite with way less depower than any recent C
I recommend any kite marketed as surf specific to new kiters
I wish I had learnt on such user friendly kites
<div>Hi kemp90
<div>I haven't seen the new Razor. How many connection points are there?
<div>It could be for a bridle like the new Fuel or a fifth like the Hi-Fi. I doubt you would want to split the Y wider just to shorten the fifth line
<div>What is the range of your 13 and 9, I think that might be my new quiver
The connections look like they could be for a bridle but what's the point!
The 13m is good for 10 to 20 knots and the 9m is 16 to 25 knots. I have a 2013 7m that comes out at 18knots if I want to do some loops, not sure what the top end is, never had too much power on the 7m
Thanks all, I've been attaching the centre lines to the red setting because the manual says the red setting has less pop and more depower. I'll give the other setting a go today and see how it goes.
Thanks so much guys, I've been attaching it to the red setting because I'm sure that's what the manual says.

Ahhhhahaha, no wonder. The wakestyle setting is heavy, awsome when you want it but the window is very small!!

I think the other points were put in place for 4 lines bars plus 2 extensions like Hadlow setting.

Ahh I see. So how will this effect the kite? I'm very curious about this 6th line setting?
