G'day all
Just wondering whether anyone's got any tips to offer those of us who're learning to pass the bar in the air?
I've got surface passes sussed, and landed quite a few 'raileys to blind' the other day. I even scored one railey frontside 3, but have been unsuccessful in replicating this.
It definitely helps to edge hard to stall the kite's forward movement. And I get the whole 'pull the bar to your hip' technique. But are there any other tips that may help? And which airpass tricks are the easiest to learn first?
Try to do blind judges, wait for the moment when the lines go slack a bit to initiate the pull and rotation to pass the bar.
Make sure you throw your legs to the front. Also important is your hip- shoulder and especially your hea movement, anticipating the rotation.
Always keep bar as close to your hip as possible.
It makes it easier to tweak the railey out to get a better momentum for the rotation.
I would go too high and pop too hard for the first blind judges
you will get it just keep trying![]()
i reckon flat 3's off a wave are the easiest air passes to learn. a tip that worked for me is to throw the arm you are passing to around hard and fast as soon as you let go of the bar
btw a railey frontside 3 is a 313
