Standing on the beach recently with my 10.5m Flexifoil, I was chatting to a mate with a 10m Cabrinha. Flying them side by side we noticed that his kite was substantially larger than mine. Even laying them deflated on the grass together, his Cabrinha was bigger than my Flexi.
Line length was very similar, so it wasn't a perspective thing.
Are all brands measuring their kites the same way? Is square metres the standard? Or are kite sizes approximate?
Can anyone help??
Hey Dave,
Its not the size of the kite that is the measure of the man.... I'm sure yours is of an adequate size to provide pleasure for you and other 'riders'. I'm pretty sure some companies use projected area whereas others use actual area.
