Trying to find accommodation for July under $120/night for a double in a spot that is good to kite. Any suggestions from people who have been there would be great. Thanks

Strapped, I went there last year and I'm heading back again this year. There is not much accommodation that meets your needs, I'm not sure there is much accommodation with access to kiting spots other than Gina's island house which is situated on one of the smaller Motu and is self contained. The majority of the accommodation is located on the offshore side of the island. You might have luck if you stayed up near the airport, there is a beach there called Ootu that you could kite from. The 10 days I was there the wind wouldnt have been any good, wrong direction. You are really better off going out by boat to 1 foot Is or Honeymoon Is.

Try Ranginui Retreat not Ranginui Resort, the resort is mega bucks per night
