After speaking to the water police this arvo, it was just a board found but it did spark a search for the kiter involving boats and heli's.
They want to remind all kiters to write their name and phone number on your gear so when this happens it saves everyone time hassle and stress. The bonus you also get your gear back.
It was real windy today, dont go out in conditions above your limits. Stay safe!!!

Nah, new advice from WAKSA is all Mandurah kiters now wrap themselves in several garbo bags so if they do get into trouble they wash up, free of charge, for a Rotto holiday, and no search party is needed. Hang on, wasn't being wrapped up in garbo bags and getting 'wet' one of the services offered at one of Cookson's "business ventures" in some (red) light industial estate? No happy endings here!

On the subject of writing name / number, is there any preferres areas of the kite that water police / sea rescue suggest?

Board is easy enough with a permanent marker(?) But not sure about the kite?
