Because you can actually do something good on it.

I thought everyone would be of the opinion that you can ride nearly anything kiteboarding by now. This vid is cool but it's not making me question why I bought that new custom.

I want a board just like that....and I'm going to make one, certainly looks easier than anything I've seen in the board dept. so far. If it's about fun, this board looks it.

So What was the board made from ply or some other wood that floats . I would like too buy one or make one myself whos board is it so i can email them and offer them some moneys for one or a simple design size diamentions of it this is a very cool board and looks like a truck load of fun .

yeah. Rowdy is on the money I reckon. anything can be some fun to try. the board would be fun to try as would using the retro bar and lines if you haven't before. but its not like either are anywhere near as good as good stuff. like riding a postie in the paddock is fun but a decent dirt bike is a whole different story. given the choice, id go for the best performance everytime. Its definitely more fun imo.
