Yes, we (AKS) have put cones on the beach at Pinnaroo Point, in order to foster better relations with other beach users and make it easier to launch and land kites when the beach gets crowded.
What did you think I meant? 
Today was really busy at Pinna's with more than 30 kites on the water and another 16 kites on the beach. Quite hectic, and yet the space delineated by the mini traffic cones (directly in front of the access way down to the waters edge) remained pretty much empty, making life easy for the catamaran sailors retrieving their boat, onlookers to view in safety, and also plenty of people to rig, launch, and land their kites.
This was brought on by complaints made at the Joondalup Council public consultation meeting at MLSC a few weeks ago when some beach users complained about having to tip toe among the kites on the beach and the Whitfords sailing club complaining they couldn't get down or back from the waters edge when racing on Saturdays due to kites all over the beach in front of the access way.
Thanks for everyone's co-operation! I didn't have to ask one person to move their kite! Great result and ran smoothly with no real complaints.

Congrat's to all the locals and visitors at Pinnaroo, could go along way to helping keeping the beachs open in the future. Good effort by AKS, better to be proactive than re-active. That's what I've always been taught.
