even if he pulled the chute at max altitude will it deploy before he hit the water?

this is awesome, beats anything freestyle/freeride I've seen, massive kudos and breaths life back into the sport yeeeew

Most reserves will deploy within 50 metres. Assuming the only reason he would need a reserve is a major equipment malfunction he will be falling fast which gives plenty of airspeed to open the parachute. I'm guessing there would be minimal downplane effect so he would get a quite stable ride down.

I don't really get it? Why would anyone want to? Extreme? Why not just go parasailing? I guess it'd be fun.... I dunno, maybe slightly pessimistic but half the fun is getting yourself up there for a big boost, to me, being towed is sorta cheating.
Jumping from objects is pretty cool, but I just think this is a little lame.
Just my opinion.
