This new camera may give a GoPro a real run for the money. One problem would seem that you can only watch it on a phone or tablet, where you can swipe the screen to look behind you, or look up. It could transform kitesurfing video, because you could look up at the kite, or the wave behind you. Has anyone had a chance to try one yet? It reminds me the strange looking Google Street-view cameras.

My mate got one and took it sailing last month (he got it from the US). He attached it to the mast and just let it run.
It's amazing how you can swipe it around on the screen and look at it all, it's a much more immersive experience.
The way it charges is pretty cool too, you put it on a charging dock and there is no USB connection to the camera (if my memory serves me right).

I was going to get myself a GoPro but I think I'm gonna put one of these beauties on pre-order.

Chad reed the motocross racer came on board with them last year as an ambassador/promotor. some of the motocross footage he's got from it looks awesome. Go pro are a sponsor of the national Motox in America and Chad was banned from racing with the 360 fly in national events. Says that go pro are scared of something to me. Getting one on a kite would be unreal

There are 360 videos on youtube that can be watched on a PC, but it is browser-dependent, iirc...

Bet battery and storage run out real quick!

A mate of a mate is involved with them somehow.. and he was showing us on his phone a few months back...

Very cool technology.. $650 isn't far above a Gopro but still bloody expensive..
