Could be the start of the Bay Boomers invasion.
It could get ugly if there are to many of us out there ;-)

lube and oil change for the knee is not far away. Met a doc who has been doing this kind of work for a while and says it's getting close. I am banking on it happening so my knees can keep cooperating. That too would be the only thing holding me back.

dafish, saw your post and I may have some useful news for you. I am 83 yo and still kiting and playing tennis 4-5 days a week. My knees are not the best but I get injections every 6 months of Ortho-visc in both knees and it keeps me going. I live in Florida and kite there and Cape Cod. I was impressed with the video of the 77 yo man and saddened by the loss of his wife. I have a video of me kiting if you are interested.

Respect right there.

Some have 30 maybe 40 years left in them BUT will there be any beaches left that allow kiting.

So Nick what do you imagine yourself doing in your 70's? You just don't seem like a lawn bowls and bingo dude to me! haha

my concern is that my knees will wear out before I hit my 70's

I don't unhook but after 11 years of kiting, my knees now get quite sore after each session

are there any kiters out there that have been kiting a lot for over 15 years, without knee issues now?
