Yeah no bridle, but in other sections of the write up they reference having a bridle?
Package includes:
Kite and bridles, kite backpack, bladder repair kit and quick-start guide

Don't know why they don't just make a 5 line/ 4 line set up and leave the Fuel alone.

I don't see what different???
It's still a split strut and the same shape as last few years???
It does look like the 2nd strut is a little closer and opened up the centre panel of the kite.....
Or am I tripp'n???

The only thing they should have kept from the Nitrous bridle was the few extra centre LE attachments.
My 2015 uses the extra LE attachments for a V-5th line, but my 2013's use straight 5th....
Guess it doesn't really matter, I just like being CDO.

Glad they got rid of that bridle though!
It was a total FLOP ...!!! I had some weird issues with the whole nitrous bridles.Slingshot's reply:

I mean, really...... if I wanted a bridled C-kite from Slingshot, I would go get an RPM right??

Or maybe they made the bridle for people who wanted an SS bridled-C, but didn't wanna be one of the RPM groupies??

I can t belive they took the bridle off the fuel .
What dingbat thought after all that development in curved leading edges designed for bridles, a pure C kite would work.
Devolution from a R&D perspective. A pure C-kite can have a Bridle........ Its called a fifth line.....
Bridled Fuels are about as user friendly as a slingshot link.

There is a 5th line kit coming.

Really the fuel should be ridden only 4 or 5 lines.

The bridle choked the kite and as mentioned before if you want something with bridle the RPM is the best.

IMO if your not landing double handle passes then your not going to notice the difference in slack between the Fuel & RPM anyway.

I think it's wise that email vanished.

Slingshot- When's the next demo day on the Sunny Coast? I'd like to give the new Fuel a bash.

Keen to send me one to demo??

are you kidding??? x 2!

Slingshot and their team riders talked up the bridle saying how good it was before......now its sh1t???? Just goes to show you cant believe any hype from brands or team riders......?

and I'm no where near doing a double..... apart from pros, who is (and they can do passes flying plastic bags)???......and theres a BIG difference between the RPM and Fuel in regards to slack. RPM has none whatsoever and the fuel does. Its like night and day...........

Gotta agree with you here. The difference could not be bigger. Even when just doing raileys. One catapults you with an amazing acceleration so that raileys can be huge fun. One is, well, pulling you gently into a railey. Yes I know, going faster, shooting downwind bla bla will optimise the effect when on the RPM. But plug and play, one pops and one does not. Same goes for all bridled C kites. I am now on one of those because the advantages for my crap level outweigh the disadvantages. But man do I miss some proper massive raileys a Fuel or Vegas were able to deliver.

But Rads as you know RPM is their cash cow, their bread and butter. While the Fuel is niche, keeping the brand image up. So I guess it is in the interest of the business talking one up more than the other. Same goes for all companies. I don't think anyone should be influenced by all the reviews and marketing hype these days really. Demoying, multiple times, in different conditions, is the only way to tell for yourself.

RPM $1921 (based on UK pricing)
2017 SS Fuel $2183 (ditto)

Difference: $262

But compared to 2016/2015 models... $$$$$

That's a bloody lot of difference in the hip pocket mate!

Man it bugs me how they have the a competition c kite more expensive then a bridle c.
The resale just isn't there. In one season your throwing $$$$ away!
I don't understand why they would have a price difference in the first place

Don't all get your knickers in a knot. The bridle on the fuel was an optional component that was never really pushed. If you ever spoke to any of our team riders you would have heard from them that they all ride it 4 or 5 lines...

Youri & Bebe ride the RPM in competition doing doubles anyway and don't seem to have any issues. The average kiter is going to have a lot better experience on a bridle kite like the RPM over the Fuel IMO anyday.

FYI

Aust RRP

2017 Fuel 11M is 1949
2017 RPM 11M is 1999

Hey Kemp, I don't mind if you borrow my 11 for a few weeks. Postage would be stuff all.

I should go up north for a weekend. I'll bring all my gear!

Own 2012 and 2013. Ridden from 2009 to 2016.

Short answer. No noticeable difference. I still **** my pants looping with a 2010 or 2015 Fuel.

Super consistent kites & well built.

You're the guy Underoath was talking about. He doesn't even have a second 13 to send, he just took your money and bought beers.
