You shouldn't need one tbh Brisbane is always well above 20 degree water temp. I say just adapt to your local area.

I got a 3/2 full wetsuit off torpedo 7, I think its great! I use it from now till about end of September, thats if there's any wind! It keeps me warm on the coldest winter days here in Brisbane and I would recommend it over just getting a spring suit.

On sale at the moment for $50, you cant lose.

How does it rate that wetty? Probably not the warmest I'm guessing for Sydney winter waters.

I got a medium because Im about 74kgs and 176cm tall.

It fits me pretty well, slightly tight to get on over my arse and shoulders but that's just because I have a big arse (so I have been told by my girlfriend) and Im pretty wide across the shoulders. I would be inclined to say their sizing chart is slightly on the small side I.e a medium is for 170 – 184cm according to their size chart but I couldn't imagine anyone much taller than me getting into a medium.

Its certainly well made as I have had mine for a year and haven't had any problems with it.

I hope this helps.

I wear a 3/2mm “Long John” (full length leg + sleeveless), plenty for SEQ and no sleeves makes it easy to get in and out with no zips. But their sizes are not what you would think. wetsuitwarehouse.com.au/products/adrenalin-3-2mm-long-john-surfing-wetsuit-mens

Only sizes left are Small and XXL, damn missed out ! The reviews about sizing of the arms didn't give me much assurance anyway.

Yes I thought I may get answers like your's. I am actually from a lot further up like about 20 degree south. But we still get 5 degree starts and over cast. And if I want to kite all day I need a wetsuit.

For Sydney winter, I'm looking at the Mystic Star 3/2 from an UK website. Mystic wetsuits are specifically designed for kitesurfing, does anyone have experience with those wettys ? I hope the sizing chart is accurate as it's always risky ordering one without trying it first.

Use in Mackay from now until September
Good product
Medium @ 72kgs 176cms so the sizing chart is pretty spot on

Have a look at your local Good Sammy's store or whatever equivalent in your area, they usually have a few wettys. I picked up a nice 3/4 for $16 last year and a nice new 3/4 for my son last week for $12.
