Hi All,
Just to let you know that JB the Naish and North Kiteboarding "Guru" and I will be down at Happy Valley this Sunday the 17th from 11am onwards with all the new 2009 North and Naish gear.

We will be down at the Grassy area where the BBQ's are with all the gear on dissplay.

It Looks like the wind may swing southerly and there will be a out going tide so it should be kiteable

Either way we will be able to fly the new kites and check out the full range of gear regardless.

We will have one of the BBQ's cranking and some cold ones as well.

Please all feel free to come down for a snag or two and a check out the new toy's

Regards

Luke

I'm sorry for my stupid question but where is Happy Valley?
Is it possible for you to put the map here or give me a proper address?

Cheers
Alex

Good Point!! sorry for missing that minor detail!

Happy Valley is on the Sunshine Coast at Caloundra.

www.google.com.au:443/maps?ie=UTF8&q=caloundra+maps&ll=-26.796187,153.13036&spn=0.061904,0.105743&z=13&iwloc=addr

Ok, On the above map Happy valley is right on that Green area directly under the word Caloundra right where the last letter "a" is in the word Caloundra, Hope this helps

Its allso known as the "River Mouth" right at the tip of Bribe Island on the mainland side.

Its in between "Kings Beach" and "Bullcock beach".

If you need any more info please let me know.

Hope to see you there

Regards

Luke

Wind was cross off and smoking.Man its a hard choice to decide wich ones better both the Rebel and Helix felt great!

Come and test them for yourself tomorrow and see what I mean!

I went to the BBQ today and got to try the Rebel and the Sigma in marginal winds.
(12-15 knots) I was surprisingly impressed!
Good company, great conversation, excellent beer! We should do this more often.

Thanks Luke and JB. I had a ball (although it was freezing cold and my agates are now permanently embedded in my armpits)!

It was really great to hear that a certain kite shop manager got "luked" by the guys at Pro Honda......now that's karma......

Thanks to all that came allong.

It was Great to see some old, some familia and some new faces.

Stand out kite on the day for me was the Helix!
when I rode it there must have been all of 8knts max, the tide had slowed down and I was still able to pull some tricks, ride up wind and all without working the kite that much.

Thanks JB for your efforts and for sharing all your extensive knowledge on the new gear.

Regards

Luke

thanks luke for the ride on the 09 Helix 12m. was my 1st go on a naish kite and i now realise the cool shape isnt there just for looks, the thing flew very niceley indeed. loved the simple bar design with long throw, could do with a stopper to unspin the lines tho but then again the bar pressure was so light that it made it eazy to unspin them without a stopper. i also loved how in light winds the heilix would move accross the window fast and boost me up high eazyley and float me back down gentaly. i diddnt get to water relaunch because it was eazy to feel where the kite was and i diddnt really want to get it wet lol. i wouldnt mind demoing a smaller 1 in higher winds some time please mr luke and cheers mate for the bbq and beer was a great day.

Snoize,

There was a stopper on the bar, you just needed to slide it down.
