Just wondered if u think i should get a 129 or 132 lunacy, at my weight of 83kg. I tried my mates 129 today and i went really well in the 15 knot conditions (easily going upwind with a 9m kite).

Just thought if i would be making a mistake getting a 129 when a 132 maybe better for me, or does the width of the lunacy make up for the size.

cheers

ride what works, if your going upwind in 15 kts on a 9m then you dont really need a bigger board! The Lunacy is so parallel and chunky in the tips you will get more drive for a given length than an SX for example. Asuming your not gonne be taking it out in crazy choppy conditions and are hoping to take some heavy landings and/or bust some serious pop, your onto a good thing.

the proof as they say is in the pudding.

you cant go wrong with a 132, will help landing faster tricks and will be nicer in the waves

well i use the ride the 08 129cm and i now ride the 132 09. I'm about 83kgs and i ride a 11m rev2. I pefer the 132 it gives me more pop and get me going quicker however feels abit heavier and slight more effort to spin. I would go with the 132 unless you have plenty of wind all the time and dont tend to load and pop as much

pardon my ignorance, but how is that board gonna be good for heavy landings? i would have thought the SX is actually better for that considering the outline and rocker.

Bigger board likethe 132 is easier to land tricks to blind, or planning away with less power..
The 129 you need to land with bit more power to stay fully planning.
sx is more flexible and so a little softer on landings..

i rode used to ride last years 129 but have just taken delivery of a new 132, i am a fairly big guy, but all the same think the 132 is an all round better board, nicer in light wind, but pops huge and lands awesome, especially as i am learnin to go to blind... Go for the 132...
