Hiya,
yep it's time to put my old 13m 2005 Yarga out to pasture (well save for lighter days anyway). I was pretty happy with that kite but did pine for an 11m model often as I was a tad to powered..
I am 85kgs ride a 136 LF Drop (in the ocean) and like big boosts, pina coladas and getting amongst the cr@ppy Perth summer waves.
I have a good deal on a 2006 Yarga 11m and also Naish 2006 Boxer II.
Any clues on how these two babies compare? The Yarga is 2nd hand whilst the Naish is new but I don't want to get too far away from the Yargaesque behaviour that i like.
Cheers
Nobody ever compared these babies?
I know it's not cuttin edge stuff, but I though I'd get a reply or two re: the BoxerII.

Aren't they like completely different kites?
I though the Yarga was a performance freestyle kite where as the boxer was a more freeride park and ride.
The Yarga should have more depower, and the boxer will have the better safety and bar setup.
Both should be built pretty well. Make sure you check that the Yarga is infact an 06' model, and that the boxer is 5-line.
I think that the boxer will be a lower aspect kite.
Both will have terrible bottom end, but I think that the Yarga will prob have a better bottom end than the Boxer.
Both will have similar bar pressure, and I think the Yarga will turn a little faster.
My pick of the bunch would be the Yarga.
Hope your getting them darn cheap. There are much better kites around
BTW, if you into big boosts and still want to be a tightarse, why dont you look around for a Naish 06' Raven II. Much nicer kite than the boxer. should be some good ones getting around for $300-400
Cheers fellas!
Yeh - I did wonder if the Naish was lower aspect than the Yarga too.
My 2005 Yargas were definately on the money for aspect/handling/jumping for me, so I may give the Naish a miss. Correct about the bottom end of the Yargas, not shocking but not great that's for sure. The pay off is that the top end (spesh for my 13m) is pretty good.
I think Alvaro Oneiva (Best Team Rider) refused to ride the waroo's and has been riding essentially a yarga 06 for that last 2 years or so, I think they are bringing it back out again this year (at least for him). Must have some merit. Boxer II I think from what I can remember was a beginner to intermediate kite.
The Best Yarga 2006 was a lot like the 2005, just better refined, and did not need the 5th line from memory, but the 2005's rode alright in 4 line anyway.
I liked them for a C kite.
Yes, they are a C kite, and the BoxerII was a 2005 model release and also a C kite.
The Yarga was a much better performing kite, and was built tougher too.
The Yarga turns better, boosts better and goes upwind better. Also the 2006 will have much more yargarishness, than naishness, so I think you should go with what you know.

Ta Steve,
I have been really happy with my old 2005 Yargas. They are certainly built super tough and perform very nicely.
I did ride my 2005 as 4 lines intitially but found they handled wayyyy better when i did go 5th line with them (no more jelly fishing).
Durn, old low tech or not, I sure would love to get hold of a new-ish 2006 11m Yarga.
Cheers for your comments lads.
