The correct weight was 1.60kg, and correctly guessed "Rebel", who lists himself as a 16yo kiter.
Great to see a prize go to a young fella! (not that there's anything wrong with being an old fella
)
Cheers to all that entered - that was fun! ![]()

I had 3, 1 kilo's of sugar packs in my hand and my M8 twinny felt heavier....but it had straps on also ....and yes the picture was of an unstapped board...mmmm a north rebel owner wins the prize....I'm ticked pink...he he
haha how's the fool who guessed this:
9.84 thegavins 5/13/2008 5:26:54 AM
niiiice......... very close there haha
congrads rebel, would it be another same model board now riding on your local beach?
...or was it realy a lucky guess. ![]()
Damn, I was so close - I made a spreadsheet of lots of sizes and weights of boards that I could find from the net to come up with the average weight per square cm of board....
I think I guessed 1.64
I just gave him a call to tell him the good news... he sounded pleasantly suprised, I'm sure he'll post here shortly ![]()
Perhaps the profile explains a little ![]()

You are such and Engineer Sunseeker!! ..........I like your style!!
I hope you charged the time to your favorite client too!! ![]()
You should have done a Polynomic logarithmic multidifferential calculus inversion to correct for the tachyon shift of probability and you would have had the answer!!
I used the density of wood by an estimated volume of the board and got 1.83. Not too far off with only a perspective photo to guess the dimensions of the board!
I'm an engineer too... Can you tell? ![]()
Its a curse sometimes...
Travesso, your assumptions were not too good there - you should have set a few boundaries there to compare your theoretical value to.
I know a few engineers and they sucked at learning to kiteboard because they were to busy telling me how the kite should be rigged for optimal performance and what not hahahaha.
Thanks for the comments boys and girls..
im so stoked i had no idea and havent been on seabreeze in a while..
My guess was completly wild.. i loged on and though of a number and wrote it down without any thinking.
How do they ride?
Cheers Al
now we need wind
What happened to Pad/Strap and Handle???
laurie, this is unfare!!! only if those are included my guess would have been perfect!
Anyway Congratulations to Rebel!
And I suggest another round!!!!!
